CAFCE Mentorship Program

The CAFCE Membership Committee is excited to offer the next session of the CAFCE Mentorship Program!

This session will run from April 3 - July 28, 2017.

Are you just starting your career in co-op (less than 3 years) and trying to figure out how everything fits together or works within Canada and internationally? Would you like to hear tips for success from an experienced professional with many years of working within co-op? Do you work independently in a small department on your own without experienced colleagues? If yes, then apply below to be a Mentee.

Do you remember what it was like when you first started your career in co-op and you were trying to make sense of where everything fits in on a national or global perspective? Did you ever work independently with little guidance on specific co-operative education situations because your co-op department was just you and wished you had someone to call? Have you worked in the field of co-op for over 5 years? If yes, then apply below to be a Mentor.

This program pairs newer co-operative education practitioners with experienced members in a mentor/mentee relationship. The junior practitioners will benefit from learning more about the field of co-op while the experienced co-operative educational professionals will have an opportunity to share their wealth of knowledge and expand their leadership skills. The mentorship program occurs over a period of four months, with meetings of 60-90 minutes occurring once a month. The total time commitment is approximately 6-8 hours over 4 months.

We invite you to participate:

DEADLINE for applications is Friday, March 10thProgram starts April 3rd.
