Membership

Membership in CAFCE has a variety of benefits, as this dynamic professional association provides members with opportunities for professional development and networking. In addition, CAFCE is an important national advocate of co-operative education, and the Accreditation Council provides leadership and quality program evaluation.

Networking Opportunities

CAFCE members are dedicated professionals with experience in education, training, recruiting and human resource counselling. This association joins members in a national network where:

  • Relationships with new and experienced members are developed and fostered;
  • Ideas, skills and expertise are exchanged to enhance the co-operative education experience of all members;
  • Professional challenges are discussed and interesting insights are examined from various perspectives

Professional Development

CAFCE professional development program recognizes each member's need to invest in and diversify their own professional competence.

National conferences are hosted by the regional committees of CAFCE during every second year. The conference normally runs from Sunday to Wednesday with a strong professional and social program.  The next conference will be held in Whistler, B.C. during July 29 - August 1, 2012.  Keep tune, more information will be added in the upcoming months.

The CAFCE AGM held during a non-conference year normally includes a PD Session. The CAFCE 2010/11 AGM will include a PD Session. Members are invited to join their Board of Directors at the University of Victoria on Thursday, November 17, 2011. More information is available on the AGM/PD page at http://www.cafce.ca/en/agm-pd.

Leadership and Advocacy

Visibility at both national and provincial levels enables CAFCE to be a prominent advocate in promoting co-operative education initiatives.

Standards

CAFCE's independent Accreditation Council ensures that only the highest standards exist for our members. Member institutions are subject to rigorous evaluation before achieving accreditation status. Ongoing education and discussion of topics concerning co-operative education and professional development ensure that membership can maintain and support CAFCE's commitment for excellence.
